The Copper Alloy Products Department is equipped with a modern machinery park, which includes five continuous horizontal casting lines and finishing equipment, including straighteners for diameters ranging from Ø20 to Ø121 mm and chamfering machines.
Two of these lines, commissioned in 2011 and 2015, are modern constructions co-financed by the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. The primary objective was to design an energy-efficient system, which was successfully achieved and confirmed during further operation. The latest production line, commissioned as a result of research and development work carried out in cooperation with the Łukasiewicz Research Network (Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals in Gliwice) between 2019 and 2021, was developed under a project funded by the National Centre for Research and Development. The goal of the project was to create an innovative technology for recycling low-quality copper and copper alloy production waste.
